Sunday night will mark the last game that will ever be played at Yankee Stadium. Sports Illustrated has put together a nice slide show of memoirs from baseballs most loved, most hated, most famous venue. (click headline)
It's been a sub par season and not being in the playoffs for the first time in 13 years bites, but I think it's been made easier with the emotions that surround the winding down of the stadium. Myself and (I think) the bulk of the die hards are already quite pumped about the off season and April 16, 2009, when the Yanks will be back in a brand spanking new Yankee Stadium built across the street.
